Better late than never, they say...
I have been avoiding dental braces since they began coaxing me at the age of 12 (that's almost 20 years counting from 1996). I wouldn't wear one if the nagging pain on my upper front teeth did not persist. Sometimes, I felt my upper front teeth were literally cracking and bits are chipping off the edge. I guess they're moving out of place and I also started to have TMJ this year. This is insane!
IT. HAD. TO. STOP.
April 2015 -- I finally had the 'genuine' motivation and courage to apply for dental braces after doing research and finding out that theirs had the most affordable plan and trustworthiness.
It was kinda like being de-virginized when I made the decision. A little bit depressing, a little bit exciting, and a little bit uncertain about my future.
Once we did it, the pain only lasted on the first week. The first three days were the most painful and I hardly ate any solid food even if I wanted to. It was a dull pain crawling all over my face.
On the third day was the resurrection... I would defy all of the pain just to gobble my favorite chicken meal. I need to 'BRACE' myself if I wanted to eat my favorite foods with these 'BRACES' on... get the joke?
I was surprised that the gap on the upper canine teeth have already closed. The lower teeth are all that remains to be fixed. Come to think of it, 8 months pass by so quick. Before we know it, we'll hit the 2 year mark and hopefully they would come off at that point.
Glad I finally made this decision. The pain was worth it! =)
