January 27, 2016.

This, I think, is the best version of San San's Pressed Powder. It was revamped last year in 2015, and I praise this thing in many ways... in terms of packaging, now it has no scent (the original smelled horrible!), the powder is much more finely milled, powder does not cake up, and the colors are less yellowish than before. There were 4 shades in the store, but my best match was #2. Oil control is good but it looks tanned later in the day. (This is my number 2. I'm still sticking to my all-time favorite Ever Bilena Pressed Powder with Vitamin E in Honey.)

Now this brings us to the Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 VR2 kit lens, which I shot these photos with. The following day, the 28th, I finally traded it for a Nikkor 55-200mm... which in turn only lasted 2 days when I yet again traded it for the Soligor 80-200mm f/4.5 which I now still have.

The kit lens was a very good piece of glass. It gives me wide angle at 18mm and that's what I appreciate this lens the most. Other times the lens just sits at 35mm for everyday photos, and at 55mm for product photos like in this post. Sharp and crisp, this lens is -- but the 55mm end was always getting me frustrated because of the dark and noisy images. If there's any reason at all that I want to have this lens back, it's because I can use it as a cheap wide angle lens with an aperture of f/3.5.
