Fishballs From Hell!

22 July 2017

Today, a trip to the National Museum.

National Museum, Quiapo Photowalk... Fishballs From Hell!

Then to Hidalgo Street in Quiapo...

On my way home, a few shots of the Olympus Zuiko 75-150/4 on my Nikon D5200.

Tokina 12-24/4

Then a few more shots on my way home.

I have not done any deep fried fishballs for a long time, the last time I did was in 2012! It's been a thing to do for a long time but either kept forgetting, didn't have the motivation, no stock when I visited, or I was busy with something else. Put in at least 20 leaves of cut bay leaf, and a palm full of whole black pepper on the oil, then warm the oil to low heat. Pour the whole pack of 500 grams fishball, leave it there until it's toasted/crunchy/hard like stone.

The result was my favorite 'Fishballs From Hell'. I guess 500 grams of fishball is not enough, next time, try 1 kilogram! The bay leaves were quite strong, my stomach felt a bit of pain later. Eating these Fishballs From Hell feels like a mouth fuck, an oral orgy.

Photos shot with Nikon D5200, Tokina AT-X Pro SD 12-24mm f/4, Olympus Zuiko 75-150mm f/4, and Lenovo A7000+. Today was one of those rare times that I go crazy with editing because I usually just leave them as they are from the camera.
