The Petri 55mm f/1.8 CC Auto in Petri bayonet mount (TOKINA). Wow, it took me a month before completing this lens mod and restoration. The restoration took place first. It was in bad condition on arrival, with some oil on the transparent plastic parts, some bent metal parts inside, and a broken aperture mechanism. I decided to glue the aperture to f/2 so that it would be sharper than at f/1.8. After cleaning, it sat in my storage for weeks of disuse until the mount was converted.

The M42-Nikon adapter arrived after 2 weeks, then it took me another 2 weeks to figure how to make this thing work on my D5200. The mount design was problematic but later found a way to allow me to glue the adapter and make this lens focus to infinity on a Nikon DSLR.

Here were my first samples for the past 3 days. Looks like it has softness when shooting in bright exposed areas, but looks overall to be sharp in normal light. The result looks pleasing especially for portraiture, where most people will use it anyway.
