COPY VARIATION???

Here are 2 copies of my Tamron Adaptall 2 70-150mm f/3.5 Close Focusing Tele Macro (20A). I have noticed something considerably different with the new lens that arrived 3 days ago. Interestingly, the more I looked, the more difference they had! On the left is serial#121124, the right is serial#5415768 which is obviously a much later produce.

The front element:
#121124 shows a purple blue ghost of the fluorescent bulb
#5415768 shows a pink-magenta ghost of the fluorescent bulb

The outermost rear glass:
#121124 has a turquoise sheen and looks like those high quality filters that minimize surface reflection and maximize transmission.
#5415768 has the modern mint green surface reflection, but I also noticed it looks like those low quality filters whose surface has a high amount of reflection. Just imagine light reflecting back and forth between the rear element and the shiny reflective digital sensor... it may affect the contrast in bright light scenes!

The element next to the rear glass:
#121124 has a purple-blue reflection like more modern lenses. It means that there were more layers of coating on the glass.
#5415768 has an amber reflection typical of the old 1960s single coated lenses.

Sample shot:
The variation is not noticeable based on my initial shot, but if you look closely, you can spot the difference!
#121124 has a slightly warmer color
#5415768 has a more neutral tone

Perhaps the difference in image quality may be most pronounced when used on landscape where there's alot of blue light? What do you think?

What is the effect of different lens coatings?
